What Is A Thriver’s Mindset?

“Adversity doesn’t build character, it reveals it.”
5 Positive Thinking Tips And Techniques To Creating A Thriver’s Mindset Anytime
“Your beliefs become your thoughts, Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.” Gandhi
1. Belief In What Is Possible In Your Life, Despite Your Circumstances
What you believe, you will become!
“All that we are is the result of what we have thought.
The mind is everything. What we think we become.” Buddha
If you believe that you can thrive during a negative life experience, then you will. If you believe that you can’t thrive during a negative life experience, then you won’t.
One of the reasons is that you will line up everything in your life behind your thought or belief. You will look for evidence to support your belief; whether your belief is positive or negative will become irrelevant. You will find the evidence you need to prove that what you believe is not only correct, but that it’s fact rather than just your thought. This evidence will support your belief and will be evident in all areas of your life – your thoughts, your actions, your conversations or how you think, act and speak.
You will become your thoughts, so choose them wisely.
2. Believing In The Potential And Capacity That Change Is Possible Despite Your Circumstances
“In order to carry a positive action
we must develop here a positive vision.” Dalai Lama
You alone need to believe in your potential and capacity to thrive no matter what you’re confronted with. If you choose to live in a thriving mindset, the evidence you find will support that mindset.
If you look for evidence that supports that people can live a healthy life, even though they have had a cancer experience in their life, you will find it. These people have chosen to believe that it’s just that, an experience, not a definition of who they are.
If you choose to view your circumstances as an experience along with all the other experiences in your life…other experiences like broken relationships, missed job opportunities, divorce, illness that you recovered from – even though you knew it would be tough and possibly the hardest thing you would do in your life – then you will start to see that you have the capacity to thrive despite these circumstances.
However, if you choose to believe that you are unable to influence your thoughts and beliefs, then nobody or nothing will be able to convince you otherwise, as you will already be beaten.
3. Taking Actions To Create The Change You Desire, Despite Your Circumstances
“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage.
If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it.
Go out and get busy.” Dale Carnegie
While having a positive attitude, thoughts and beliefs is a great start, change comes from taking action, not sitting around thinking of it. Living a thriver’s mindset will come with what you do, in addition to what you think.
Your thoughts and beliefs will get you heading in the right direction, but only after you take action will you start to win. Taking action will start you on the path to reinforcing what you believe to be true. You can read more here about the actions I took during a cancer experience that helped me create the life I love, despite being told that I only had a 1 in 10 chance of surviving.
4. Feeling That You Are Already Living In That Thriving Energy
This is the step that 99% of people miss doing, but it is critically important!
“Energy is everything and
everything is energy.” Albert Einstein
While thoughts are the pathway, feelings are the energy behind the thoughts. Self-belief and taking action will get you part of the way to where you need to be, but in order to create the energy of a thriver, you must also be able to imagine yourself living in that energy, in detail.
You can do this by creating a day in this energy. Imagine what you do when you get up in the morning. What does the room look like? Can you smell breakfast cooking? What is on the menu for breakfast today? What can you feel, are the sheets caressing your soft skin? You go for breakfast…what does it taste like? What do you do for work? How do you get to work? What do you wear? Who’s in your life?
I am sure you get the picture. Create and “feel” every aspect of what your thriving life is like. If you can see it, you can create it!

5. The Results You Achieve, Will Reinforce Your Belief Of What You Believed Was Possible
“Whether you think you can or think you can’t,
you’re right.” Henry Ford
When you start to take actions, the results you achieve will reinforce your beliefs. If your thoughts are negative, then the results will reinforce that you were right all along and you will stand in the honour of proving yourself right.
If your belief is that you can thrive despite the circumstances, then your actions will lead to outcomes that prove you were right all along and in fact, you can thrive and live despite the cancer experience that surrounds you.
The mindset you create, is independent of your circumstances. Throughout the ages, people have achieved great things in their life and community despite and sometimes in spite of the circumstances that they found themselves in. Even though they didn’t choose their circumstances they did choose to step into a thriving and abundant mindset.
“Adversity doesn’t build character it reveals it.”
This is not about living or dying it’s about the mindset that the create in your life on a daily basis. Some people giving a similar set of circumstances will suffer while others will not. It’s all about your mindset. Are you using these positive thinking tips and techniques for creating a thriver’s mindset? or not?
